About Me

Mark Sheridan

Trained for two years at the Guildford School of Acting, based largely on the Stanislavski method. Received ‘Best Actor’ award and the “Max Adrian Special Award” for outstanding individual performance. The award included a one year apprenticeship as an acting/asm under Laurier Lister at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford.

Seasons at Oldham, Chester and Chesterfield repertory companies followed,  before being invited by  Trevor Nunn to join the Royal Shakespeare Company. While at the RSC I worked closely with directors such as Nunn, the late Buzz Goodbody and Euan Smith. Later I moved north to work with David Scase at the Library Theatre, Manchester, for three years, as well as doing radio drama for the BBC, numerous workshops and theatre in education projects for various groups.

I moved to Australia in 1997.
